Hastings itself is a vibrant coastal town with an abundance of history and culture. The seafront is lined with iconic tall black net huts built for the harbour’s fishermen to traditionally dry their nets. You will also find fishing boats on the shingle beach and can often see them landing after a night out at sea.

The Old Town is a warren of narrow streets hosting independent shops and restaurants and many antique boutiques where you can rummage for hours. Hastings is also home to Britains steepest funicular railway which leads up to the West Hill with the remains of Englands first castle built by William the Conqueror.

And of course it wouldn’t be a proper seaside town without the many fish and chip shops, crazy golf and amusement arcades…. So don’t forget to bring your 2p coins!
